Cliche Subjects

Plants, specifically flowers are the usual subjects photographers both amateur and professional alike tend to take shots with. I think every photographer has at least one shot of flower in his/her portfolio. Why do you think it is so?

I figured that flowers are cliche subjects because of the natural beauty it possesses. Flowers come in varying sizes, shapes, shades, forms,  textures and growth behaviors. These characteristics not only carry unparalleled physical attractiveness but also carry wonders that Nature alone can understand.

It is by then the mission of photographers to decipher to the world the deepest meanings of flowers or plants in general term through heart-wrenching or gratifying shots.

To conclude, shooting flowers is a tough challenge and I believe that real photographers like that- being challenged to define something to the best of their abilities through their expertise.
